Redhurst Hotel Wedding
In September 2023, I had the pleasure of photographing Emma & Adamβs wedding in Glasgow! It was such a beautiful day and the light was just gorgeous outside. This was a new venue for me, so I enjoyed having a walk around before heading up to meet Emma for morning prep. My lovely second shooter, Kirsty, arrived with Adam for prep later on.
The girls had two rooms to get ready in, which was great for me! The bigger suite had lots of space and tidy corners, a big bonus for getting those detailed photos. Hair and make up took place across the hall and the light was just gorgeous!
I then made my way to St Josephβs RC Church in Clarkston for the ceremony. Itβs a lovely big church inside with lots of natural light streaming through. Kirsty & I had plenty of room to move around and get different angles. A nice personal touch is that Emmaβs Uncle is a priest who conducted the ceremony for them!
I love these post ceremony moments! So lovely to see how happy everyone is for the bride and groom. We stayed here briefly for some candid photos before making our way back to The Redhurst Hotel.
Now onto the group photos and couples photos! My top tip for group photos is to try and keep it to immediate family, bridesmaids and groomsmen only. It means you wonβt be standing around all day with a huge list eating into your mingling time, but you still get those cherished photos with loved ones.
Back into the hotel now for more details, the speeches and the evening reception! The outside terrace area for photos was just lovely. It made me feel like I was somewhere in the Mediterranean!
Emma & Adam, thank you so much for having me! It was such an incredible day and we both had a brilliant time!
